The Theatricality of the Baroque City (M-Phil Cambridge University 1995-6)
Following the completion of his M-Phil at The University of Cambridge (1995-6), Patrick Lynch finally published the dissertation as The Theatricality of the Baroque City with Dr Müller Verlag in 2011 whilst undertaking doctoral research with Peter Carl, who had moved to The Cass in 2009, where Patrick was also teaching. Themes that first arose in the M-Phil work with Peter Carl and Dalibor Vesely at Cambridge, evolved into the PhD Practical Poetics (2015), eventually becoming the book Civic Ground (2017).
